Group Financial Controller
All about the role
The Group Financial Controller at Just Eat Takeaway.com is responsible for contributing to the quality of the consolidated numbers, collaborating with in-country contacts and other stakeholders, improving financial processes, monitoring on internal controls, monitoring on compliance and contributing to projects/ad hoc questions.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Be the single point of contact for dedicated markets
- Collect, interpret and explain financial and managerial data based on trends/expectations from knowledge of the business
- Contribute to an effective, accurate and qualitative monthly closing process
- Ensure ongoing compliance with the Group Accounting Manual (IFRS) and the chart of accounts
- Provide periodical and ad-hoc reports for management reporting and for external audiences
- Monitor financial reporting and control processes, making recommendations for policy/procedural improvements
- Develop and/or implement an effective system for financial control
- Assist with the facilitation of the external group audit
What will you bring to the table?
- A background in accounting with a relevant postgraduate degree and a professional qualification (i.e. RA, ACCA, CA, CPA or similar)
- Big 4 and/or other relevant controller experience with a large listed multinational (minimum of 5 years)
- Knowledge of IFRS, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and ISA's are required. Knowledge of Dutch GAAP is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English are required. Dutch is a plus.
- Able to work independently as well as align with colleagues in Amsterdam and in our operating regions around the world
- A committed self-starter with a proactive, well-organised approach to your work
- Being an active team member in a high-performing team
- Being a hands-on finance professional.
- Familiarity with Workday (ERP) and/or OneStream (Consolidation & reporting tool) as well as with data analysis systems is preferred but is not essential.
